For the left menu, you can display a Moomenu or/and an Accordion menu.

Moomenu

You can see the Moomenu in action on top left. For use it, you must select your menu in module manager and enter this settings :

• position : "left"
• menu style : "list"
• Always show sub-menu items : "yes"
• Menu tag ID : "main_menu"

Accordion menu

You can see an example of accordion menu in action on bottom left. For use it, you must select your menu in module manager and enter this settings :

• position : "left"
• menu style : "list"
• Always show sub-menu items : "no"
• Module class suffix : " submenu" (don't forget the space before)

Note : for obtain the effect of slide of accordion menu, you must use a free module. You will find this module and my settings in the manual but it work only with Joomla 1.5
